CUCKOO CLOCKS

This traditionally styled German cuckoo clock features wooden hands, a wood dial with Roman numerals, and a warm light yellow hand-painted and hand-carved cuckoo bird. The cuckoo clock case features five hand-carved maple leaves with a cuckoo bird perched at the peak of the roof ready to take flight.

The cuckoo bird is behind a small door directly under the peak of the case. At the top of each hour and on the half hour, the cuckoo bird emerges to sing out its song. The cuckoo bird sounds out one distinct cuckoo sound for each hour of the day as well as one call on each half hour. This cuckoo clock is powered by a quartz movement. Two cast iron pine cone weights are suspended beneath the clock case by two separate brass chains. The hand-carved pendulum continuously swings back and forth.
