CUCKOO CLOCKS

This unique white chalet German cuckoo clock honors a time cherished tradition - the German beer garden. This garden has a moving waterwheel. Two beer drinkers sit in the garden drinking beer from mugs. The barmaid moves into the garden carrying more beer. Dancers in traditional costumes are on the balcony above. The action starts on the hour and half hour.
At the hour, the cuckoo bird emerges from the swinging door to sing out the time with a song that is between one to twelve cuckoos – one cuckoo call for every hour. On the half hour, the cuckoo briefly appears to sing out one cuckoo call before disappearing back in its wooden nest. When the cuckoo bird starts its song, the beer drinkers raise and lower their mugs.
As the cuckoo bird stops its call, music begins and the dancers begin the a folk dance spinning on the balcony, the water wheel begins to turn and the barmaid brings more beer. This clock alternates playing Edelweiss and The Happy Wanderer.

Hand-painted cuckoo birds are on the pendulum which hangs below the clock continuously swinging back and forth controlling the timing of the clock. This cuckoo clock is powered by a Regula 30 hour all brass clock movement which is made in the Black Forest of Germany. The clock features the traditional brass pinecone weights hanging beneath the clock on brass chains. The clock is wound by raising the weights beneath the clock on its brass chains. One brass pine cone weight powers the cuckoo and cuckoo call time, one pine cone weight powers the music and moving figures while the other pinecone weight powers the time. The clock dial and hands are made of wood with roman numerals marking the time. The musical and cuckoo bird sounds can be turned on and off by a switch located at the base of the clock.

However, as with any hand-carved German cuckoo clock, the exact color and carvings may vary slightly. As with any hand created clock, it is the uniqueness of each piece that makes it a one of a kind heirloom timepiece. This clock is covered by a two year limited warranty covering workmanship and manufacturer's defects.
