CUCKOO CLOCKS

This beautifully styled German cuckoo clock has five intricately carved maple leafs with hand-painted flowers on each leaf to highlight the natural beauty of this clock case. The maple leaf shaped pendulum continues the hand-painted flower accents. A large hand-carved cuckoo bird is perched on the chalet roof ready to take flight. At the top of every hour the yellow hand-carved cuckoo bird pops out of its nest from behind a door. The cuckoo bird sings out the time by making one distinct cuckoo call for each hour of the day as well as once on every half hour. There is a hand-carved maple leaf pendulum that hangs below the clock continuously swinging back and forth controlling the timing of the clock. The cuckoo clock is powered by a Regula 30 hour all brass clock movement which is made in the Black Forest of Germany. The clock features the traditional brass pine cone weights hanging beneath the clock on brass chains. The clock is wound by raising the weights beneath the clock on its brass chains. One brass pine cone weight powers the cuckoo and cuckoo call time while the other pine cone weight powers the time. The clock dial and hands are made of wood with roman numerals marking the time.
