CUCKOO CLOCKS

This intricately carved German cuckoo clock is in the hunter’s style. The hunter’s style cuckoo clock is a Black Forest classic style that captures the essence of the hunt. The magnificent elk graces the top of the clock while other potential prey, the bird and rabbit, border the sides of the clock face. The traditional hunter’s horn encircles the clock face dial and the look and feel of the forest hunt is completed with the hand-carved leaves and hunter’s pouch hanging at the base of the clock.

The cuckoo bird waits behind the door over the clock face until the top of every hour and half hour. Then the cuckoo bird emerges to call out its distinct cuckoo call, one call for every hour and once for every half hour.

Two cast iron pine cone weights are suspended beneath the clock case by two separate brass chains. The hand-carved and hand-painted maple leaf pendulum continuously swings back and forth. This clock is powered by a quartz movement and so does not require winding of the clock to maintain the time.

We have used high quality digital photography to show you this model cuckoo clock in as much detail as possible. However, as with any hand-carved German cuckoo clock, the exact color and carvings may vary slightly. As with any hand created clock, it is the uniqueness of each piece that makes it a one of a kind heirloom timepiece. This clock is covered by a two year limited warranty covering workmanship and manufacturer's defects.
