CUCKOO CLOCKS

This is an older style eight day German cuckoo clock that features small hand carved leaves and vines all around the perimeter of the clock. At the top of the roof there is a large section of leaves. Vines flow from the top sides of the roof down either side of the clock dial and meet in a large loop at the base of the clock.


There is a hand-carved maple leaf pendulum that hangs below the clock continuously swinging back and forth controlling the timing of the clock. The cuckoo clock is powered by a Regula 30 hour all brass clock movement which is made in the Black Forest of Germany. This clock features the traditional brass pine cone weights hanging beneath the clock on brass chains. This clock is wound by raising the weights beneath the clock on its brass chains. One brass pine cone weight powers the cuckoo and cuckoo call time while the other pine cone weight powers the time. The clock dial and hands are made of wood with Roman numerals marking the time.
