CUCKOO CLOCKS

This eight day German grandfather cuckoo clock is based on the traditional hunter’s style. This unique grandfather clock has intricately carved details to create an heirloom piece. It stands 82” tall. The sides of this grandfather clocked are elegantly carved forest trees. Complete with squirrels hiding in the branches. A deer family grazes at the clearing at the base of the clock. In the classic hunter’s style, a trophy stag head with crossed rifles and entwined maple leaves form the top of the clock case. This clock plays music every fifteen minutes. Folk dancers revolve on the balcony above the clock dial while the music plays. An adjustable lever allows a choice of chimes that can be played: Westminster Chime, St. Michael, or Whittington. This clock has a night-shut off switch and silent mode. This clock does not have a moving cuckoo bird or cuckoo sound. It does have a decorative hand-carved bird perched above the dancers.

The hand-carved pendulum continuously swings back and forth which controls the timing of the clock. This grandfather cuckoo clock is powered by an eight day Kieninger clock movement. It is wound by raising the three brass weights hanging in front of the pendulum. One weight powers the time and pendulum, one powers the music box, and the other weight powers the dancers.

However, as with any hand-carved German cuckoo clock, the exact color and carvings may vary slightly. As with any hand created clock, it is the uniqueness of each piece that makes it a one of a kind heirloom timepiece. This clock is covered by a two year limited warranty covering workmanship and manufacturer's defects.
