CUCKOO CLOCKS

This one day traditional German cuckoo clock is decorated with a family of deer from the Bavarian Forest. The deers and the trees on the case are hand-carved. At the top of every hour the hand-carved yellow cuckoo bird pops out of his nest from behind a closed door. The cuckoo bird counts out the time by making one distinct cuckoo song for each hour of the day as well as once on every half hour. There is a hand-carved maple leaf pendulum that hangs below the clock continuously swinging back and forth controlling the timing of the clock. The cuckoo clock is powered by a Regula 30 hour all brass clock movement which is made in the Black Forest of Germany. The clock features the traditional brass pine cone weights hanging beneath the clock on brass chains. The clock is wound by raising the weights beneath the clock on its brass chains. One brass pine cone weight powers the cuckoo and cuckoo call time while the other pine cone weight powers the time. The clock dial and hands are made of wood with roman numerals marking the time.
