CUCKOO CLOCKS

This is a Chalet Style German cuckoo clock that has many intricate hand carved features. There is a hand carved fishermen on the right hand side of the cuckoo clock that raises his pole up and down on the top of every hour. The Fishermen has a fish on the line that he is catching out of a small hand carved pond in the center of the clock. Additionally there is a hand carved pile of wood on the left side of the clock. This cuckoo clock also features wooden trees on either side of the clock case that have been hand painted. Every hour the hand-carved light yellow cuckoo bird pops out of his nest from behind a closed door to count out the time by making one distinct cuckoo song for each hour of the day as well as once on every half hour.

There is a hand-carved maple leaf pendulum that hangs below the clock continuously swinging back and forth controlling the timing of the clock. The cuckoo clock is powered by a Regula 30 hour all brass clock movement which is made in the Black Forest of Germany. The clock features the traditional brass pine cone weights hanging beneath the clock on brass chains. The clock is wound by raising the weights beneath the clock on its brass chains. One brass pine cone weight powers the cuckoo and cuckoo call time while the other pine cone weight powers the time. The clock dial and hands are made of wood with Roman numerals marking the time.
